Vita Coco: Shopify Plus DTC — ready for IPO.
Project Overview
In 2020, as COVID-19 disrupted retail channels, Vita Coco—long dependent on in-store sales—needed to quickly pivot to a direct-to-consumer model ahead of its IPO. They partnered with us to lead the transformation. Using Shopify Plus, we provided creative direction, a full site redesign, development, and DTC optimization. Our work supported their successful IPO at $15 per share, valuing the company at roughly $833M, and the site structure we built remains in use five years later.

A refreshing example of “set it and forget it”
A key part of this transformation was building a custom subscription program. We created a seamless recurring purchase experience that boosted retention and customer lifetime value. The subscription model became a reliable revenue stream and strategic DTC asset—driving growth and delivering ongoing consumer insights.
